Sales Executive
Description: We are currently looking for a person with a passion for televsion who'd like to have
a position as Sales Executive. As the Sales Executive of VirtuaTube, you'll lead VirtuaTube's sales efforts
and you are the person responsible for Ad revenues. As such, you'll need to have in-depth knowledge
of online and Second Life advertizing and need to be able to sell ads. Please note that this job
can be a high-pressure position, since the life of the TV station will depend upon this person.
Because VirtuaTube is part of Second Life's Goff Management Group(GMG) group of companies, you'll be able to work on
your own knowledge in a variety of areas, including building, franchising operations, general management, shop management,
virtual advertizing, scripting and job agency operations and other areas.
Requirements:
- Have at least a quarter of Second Life experience, of which at least two months of sales experience, of which
one month in a managerial position;
- Advanced English, written, reading and preferably speaking too;
- Be at least 18 years old;
- Able to cope with a fast-moving, big(in Second Life terms) organization;
- Applicants need to be friendly;
- Needs to be able to positively influence different kinds of people;
- Needs to be able to sell in Second Life terms medium- and high-value services;
- Needs to be able to work with minimal direction under normal circumstances;
- Able to set goals and reach them.
Pluses, but not required:
- Able to speak one or more languages then English;
- Real-life media experience;
- Real-life managerial experience;
- Second Life or real-life experience in the media industry.
Senior Producer
Description: VirtuaTube is looking for several Senior Producers, people who lead the TV station and programming
at a certain time.Tasks include broadcasting management, server management, management of the TV station at an assigned time shift,
editing footage and breaking news reporting. For this position, real-life media experience is preferred.
Requirements
- Have excellent knowledge of the English language in reading, writing and excellent in speaking.
- Have at least half a year of Second Life experience, of which at least one month of working in a
managerial position;
- Be at least 18 years old;
- Have experience with machinima;
- Have experience with TV- and machinima editing software;
- Able to work under pressure;
- Applicants need to be able to set and reach their own goals;
- In-depth knowledge of the economics of the media is needed for this position.
Pluses are the same as for the Sales Executive position.
Presenter/cameraman/camerawoman
Description: VirtuaTube, Second Life's new TV station, aims to provide 24/7 programming
and we need anchors/presenters for that. As the news programming schedule currently is known by know,
as a news anchor/presenter you need to record the footage within the studio, including recording your own voice when reading
the news via our advanced toolset.Because of the limitations of our software, presenters also need to act as cameramen/women.
Requirements
- Applicant need to be able to speak publicly/when filming;
- Needs to be able to speak clearly and loudly;
- Applicant needs to be able smoothly operate the "camera", meaning screen capturing software;
- All succeeding applicants need to have perfect knowledge and abilities in the English language;
- Able to work with a limited time(I.e. the news program runs 30 minutes.) when presenting/filming;
- Needs to be be able and willing to work under pressure;
- The minimum age for this position is 18 years old.
Pluses are the same as for the Sales Executive position, but also includes:
- Machinima, TV and/or radio and/or presenting/public speaking experience is a huge plus.
